Privacy & Terms

This document explains (1) how the Big Daddy App handles information and (2) the terms that apply when you use the App. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to this document. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

Important: The Big Daddy App is for general information and organisational support only and does not provide medical advice. Please read the Medical Disclaimer section carefully.

1. Definitions

In this document:

• App means the Big Daddy mobile application.

• Service means the App and any related features, content, and updates we provide.

• We, us, our means the developer/publisher of the Big Daddy App.

• You, user means the person who downloads, accesses, or uses the App.

• Content means all information in the App, including text, reminders, prompts, checklists, educational

materials, and other materials.

• On-device means stored locally on your phone/tablet, not on our servers.

2. Privacy Policy (On-Device Only)

We designed Big Daddy to work entirely on your device. The App does not require you to create an account and we do not operate user data servers for the App.

2.1 What We Collect

We do not collect personal data. We do not collect, transmit, upload, store, sell, or share your personal information on our servers. Because we do not collect your information, we cannot access it, review it, correct it, or export it for you.

2.2 What You Store on Your Device

Depending on how you use the App, you may choose to enter information such as preferences, reminders, notes, names/aliases, due dates, and other family-related details. This information is stored locally on your device only. You control what you enter. Please avoid storing sensitive details you would not want on your device (for example, medical records) unless you are comfortable doing so.

2.3 Backups and Platform Services

If you enable device backups (for example iCloud or Google backups), your device may back up App data as part of your overall device backup. Those backups are controlled by you and governed by your platform provider’s policies and settings. We do not control and cannot access those backups.

2.4 Analytics, Tracking, and Advertising

We do not run third-party advertising inside the App and we do not sell personal data. If we add optional privacy-preserving analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, present you with choices/controls.

2.5 Security

Your device security (passcodes, biometrics, OS updates, and backup settings) is the primary protection for your App data. We recommend enabling a device passcode/biometrics and keeping your operating system up to date.

2.6 Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children because we do not collect personal information at all. If you believe a child is using the App without appropriate supervision, please discontinue use.

2.7 Contact

If you have privacy questions, contact us at: info@thebigdaddyapp.com

3. Terms of Use

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm you are legally capable of entering into these Terms.

3.2 Licence to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use.

3.3 Updates and Changes

We may update the App to improve features, fix bugs, or comply with legal or platform requirements. Features may change over time and some features may be added, modified, or removed.

4. Medical Disclaimer (Critical)

The App does not provide medical advice. The Big Daddy App is not a medical or healthcare service, not a diagnostic tool, and not a medical device. Nothing in the App—whether content, reminders, checklists, prompts, notifications, recommendations, or any generated output—constitutes or should be relied upon as medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

4.1 Always Consult Qualified Professionals

You must seek advice from qualified healthcare professionals for questions or concerns about pregnancy, fertility, labour and delivery, postnatal care, infant health, child development, mental health, physical symptoms, medications, supplements, diet, vaccinations, or any other medical matter. Never delay, disregard, avoid, or stop seeking professional medical advice because of something you read or see in the App.

4.2 Independent Verification of Guidance

You are responsible for independently checking and verifying important guidance using reliable sources such as healthcare professionals and official public health organisations. Information may be incomplete, become outdated, or not apply to your personal circumstances.

4.3 No Doctor–Patient Relationship

Using the App does not create a doctor–patient relationship or any professional advisory relationship between you and us.

4.4 Emergencies

The App is not intended for emergency use. If you believe you or your child may be experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately or go to the nearest emergency department.

4.5 Accuracy and Limitations

We aim to provide helpful information, but we do not guarantee that any Content is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for your situation. Medical knowledge and guidelines change over time, and individuals vary widely.

5. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for how you use the App and for any decisions you make based on the App. You agree to use the App carefully and to exercise your own judgement.

5.1 Accuracy of Inputs

If you enter incorrect information (for example dates, reminders, preferences), the App may produce incorrect or unhelpful outputs. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything you rely on.

5.2 Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes.

• Attempt to hack, reverse engineer, decompile, or bypass security measures.

• Interfere with the operation of the App or attempt unauthorised access.

• Use the App in a way that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights.

6. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, text, graphics, logos, and software, is owned by us or licensed to us and is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the licence granted in these Terms, you receive no rights in the App.

7. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Trials (If Applicable)

If the App offers paid features, subscriptions, or in-app purchases, those purchases are processed by the platform provider (for example Apple or Google), and your purchase is governed by the platform provider’s terms in addition to these Terms. Pricing, billing frequency, trial periods, and cancellation options (if any) will be shown at the point of purchase. You are responsible for managing subscriptions through your device’s account settings. If your current version of the App does not offer paid features, this section does not apply.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App. Without limiting the above, we are not liable for any health outcomes, medical decisions, or emergencies where you relied on the App instead of seeking professional care.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your misuse of the App, your violation of these Terms, or your reliance on the App contrary to the Medical Disclaimer.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you materially breach these Terms or where required for security, legal, or platform compliance reasons. Because data is stored on-device, uninstalling the App may delete your locally stored App data unless your device backup restores it.

12. Changes to This Document

We may update this document from time to time. The “Last Updated” date shows when changes were made. If you continue to use the App after changes take effect, you accept the updated document.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Contact

Questions about the App, these Terms, or privacy can be sent to: info@thebigdaddyapp.com.

Final Reminder

Big Daddy is a support tool — not a medical service. Always consult qualified professionals for medical concerns and independently verify important guidance using trusted sources.
